Arizona girl's visit

We had a great two weeks with Addy and the girls here from Arizona. We tried to do all the fun things you can do in the fall: a pumpkin hay ride, visit to Gardner Village and all the witches and hanging out at the park feeding the ducks.

September and October Birthdays

Time flies so quickly, I used to say that about my own children, but it is the same for my grandchildren. Kohen turned 6 this year and our baby Avery turned 1. Wow!!! It was Shan's birthday too, but we won't tell her age. Hope you all had a wonderful day!

Decided this is my new motto to live by this year. Turning 60 is crazy, I'm going to enjoy every day that I'm still 59.

Introducing Maggie

Nothing like a boy and his dog. This is Maggie, I can't believe I let my kids talk me into a dog??? But she is cute, and after my visit to Addy's, with her dog Lilly, a toy poodle, we had to have one.

Arizona Girls

Look who was waiting for me at the airport. What a wonderful weekend I had with my Arizona girls. I was there for their first day of school too. We had fun hanging out, playing games, swimming, eating at "In and Out Burger", and watching old movies. Not to mention playing with Lilly, the dog. Love you girls!

Graduation Day

Elementary school has finally come to an end for Jazzy.  Yesterday at the awards assembly she received the "Hope of America" award for her class. Let me read what it says: Jazmine Bollwinkel who has demonstrated during this school year capacity for leadership, ethical and moral character and outstanding academic accomplishment.  Way to go Jazzy!

Soccer All Stars

Jackson was called up in June and asked to try out for the AYSO all star soccer team.  After 2 days of tryouts he was selected to be part of the team.  This sounds all too familiar, soccer here we go again!

Repent

In April, John and I flew back to Iowa to visit with Regan and Shan and their family. It just so happened to be the same time as the open house of the Kansas City Temple, so we made a trip down there.  What a beautiful temple, we had a wonderful time!
We knew that Addy and the girls would be here for a visit in June, so in March we planted our garden with peas.  We had fun harvesting and eating the peas with the grandkids.
This was at the airport when Addy and the girls came.  Do you think she will recognize us?
Hogle Zoo visit Isaac, Ella, Fernando and Karter.

So I've decided to repent and start my blog up again.  Most of my family knows that I have a journal that I started to write in on the day John and I were married and continued to write in until 1999.  For some reason life became hectic and I stopped, so when this blog came along I thought it was a new start.  A few things have come and gone but I promise to be better.  One day I'll print all of this and compile as my new journal, in the mean time here are a few things that have happened since my last entry.
