Are you smarter than a 5th grader?
OK, I love this show, but today one of the words I was explaining to my 5th grade reading group was emoticate. EMOTICATE, I had never heard or seen this word. It wasn't in their 2006 edition of the dictionary either. So like a dummy I said: "I'm not smarter than a 5th grader." Now all you smarties, before you ask the computer like I had to, let me know if you know the meaning of this word. :)

i must be A LOT dumber than a 5th grader cuz not only do i not know the meaning, i can't find the meaning anywhere on google! (not on Webster nor Wikipedia)

Here's your answer: it's an author's way of expressing the character's feelings. Words and characters like: FYI, OMG, and :)
