So it's 2010 ! What a year 2009 was. Yesterday Mom asked me if 2009 was a good, bad or so-so year. Well, in some ways it was not the best of years. Like having some of you to0 far away to visit when we wanted, missing Karter and Kaden's ball games, going fishing with the boys, just hanging out, big Sunday dinners, and oh there was that no job thing.
But the good things way out weighed the bad - or even the so-so. Like how ALL my children were there to help Mom and Dad. Just when things were looking bleak, you all stepped forward. Regan, Addy, Tori, Cait and Mac what precious blessing you are in my life. I love you for what you do, but mostly for who you are! And Jazzy and Jack, what more can I say, I love you. It was a year to learn patience, faith, forgiveness and love.
Then there is food on the table, a roof over our heads, my guitars, a loving wife, Skype, a new job, a family that I adore, ... So on a scale of 1 to 10, the bad gets a 4, the so-so gets a 2, and the good gets a 100! It was a great year for me. I hope I remember the lessons taught in 2009.

Happy New Year!! What a great post. I love reflecting back on the year and actually realizing what a great blessing each day was(even when I felt like there were some bad ones).
We will definitely be making it back home this year!! Can't wait to see everyone again!
